About the Speakers:
Michele J. Feinstein is a shareholder in Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C. where she practices in the areas of corporate and business planning, including all aspects of planning for the succession of business interests, and representation of physicians in their individual and group practices and estate planning, including probate and the administration of estates, estate litigation and elder law.
Previously a principal at Cohen, Rosenthal P.C., Attorney Feinstein received her Bachelors of Science degree summa cum laude from Boston University, her Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Western New England College School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review, and received her Master of Law degree (LLM) in Taxation from Boston University. She is an adjunct professor of law at Western New England School of Law in the LLM program for Estate Planning.
Attorney Feinstein is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Western New England College in the LLM Program for Estate Planning and Elder Law, where she teaches Elder Law and Fiduciary Administration.
Active in community organizations, Attorney Feinstein is past president of the Estate Planning Council of Hampden County.
Debra Anderson, JD, Senior Vice President
The MassMutual Trust Company, FSB
Debra has been in the Trust business for over 25 years. She began her career as a Trust Relationship Manager at a small community Trust Department. She joined Fleet Bank in 1988, began in the Fiduciary Income Tax Department and later managed the Estate Tax Unit. She was an Estate Settlement Officer for many years. For four years, she served as the equivalent of “Trust Counsel” for the Estate and Trust Relationship Managers throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut, providing advice on fiduciary, legal, tax and litigation issues. At MassMutual Trust Company, she manages the Administration Department, reviews all new accounts and serves as the Chairperson of the Trust Administration Committee.
Debra graduated from University of Massachusetts, cum laude, with a BA in History. She received her law degree from Western New England College School of Law, cum laude, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. She is currently enrolled in the LLM program in Estate Planning and Elder Law at Western New England Law School. She is a frequent lecturer for professional and community education programs.
