Attorney Ann I. Weber is a shareholder at Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C. with a practice concentrating in the areas of estate planning, elder law, taxation, and probate law. Attorney Weber received her B.A. degree from Duke University, her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Connecticut School of Law and is a member of the Massachusetts, Connecticut and American Bar Associations. Attorney Weber is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is the past president of the Estate Planning Council of Hampden County and former (and founding) board member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). She has been named a Super Lawyer in estate planning in Massachusetts for several years and has been named one of the top fifty women lawyers in Massachusetts and in New England by the Super Lawyer panel which identifies the top 5% of attorneys in each state, as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law and Politics. Attorney Weber is also listed in Best Lawyers in America for the field of Elder Law. Attorney Weber is a frequent lecturer before professional and civic groups on the subject of estate taxation, estate planning, and elder law. She is the author of numerous articles on estate taxation, estate planning, Medicaid planning for the elderly and disabled clients, as well as planning for same-sex couples. Attorney Weber was formerly employed by the Internal Revenue Service, Examination Division, Hartford, Connecticut and the Probate Court in West Hartford, Connecticut.
